At Democracy Works, we believe that voting should fit the way we live. So we built TurboVote, a service that tracks all your elections. We’ll send you all the materials and information you need to get registered, stay registered, and cast your ballot in every election, from municipal to national–and we’ll even mail you forms with an addressed, stamped envelope for your local election office.

Our partnership team recruits colleges and nonprofit organizations and helps them use our technology to sign up their students and communities to vote. We are now working with 80 colleges across the country, and in 2014, we want to reach 500 schools, while also helping our colleges reach a greater percentage of their student body than ever before. We think you’re the person our team needs to reach those goals.

Your job will include:

  • Researching, defining and deploying top-level strategy (as well as tracking metrics on a chosen strategy and iterating as needed)
  • Developing new feature ideas and product opportunities from partner feedback
  • Leading with numbers! Develop, track and communicate metrics that reflect partnerships progress in meeting organizational goals
  • Crafting and editing pitch-perfect written communications to potential and existing partners
  • Managing, coaching, and providing a home base for our three person all-star partnership team as they criss-cross the country bringing on college partners
  • Deploying a new and powerful database of partner relationship data to help us communicate more effectively with hundreds of diverse college partners
  • Ensuring internal processes remain nimble, efficient, and effective as you help us scale
  • Networking with community foundations and brokering connections between them and community/public colleges that need help with funding for TurboVote
  • Setting operational priorities and making sure the team has the materials and support they need

You have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing and public speaking
  • 3+ years of management and leadership experience with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple priorities in a rapidly changing work environment
  • Solid analytical skills
  • A lot of initiative
  • Experience with CRM tools
  • Experience with online organizing
  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
  • MPA/MPP/MBA or other relevant advanced degrees desirable but not required
